Project Description
MEDVAIS© (Medical Device Vulnerability Assessment Information System) maintains information about a medical device including a description of its function, its configuration, compliance to HIPAA and Hardening Guidelines, and its corresponding technical vulnerabilities. The vulnerability data which are output by four scanners used are dissimilar in nature and incompatible because repeat instances may exist. The key strength of MEDVAIS© is its ability to normalize and maintain this data that would be nearly impossible otherwise.
MEDVAIS© contains dynamic report features by taking the format from a finalized Vulnerability Assessment Report and coding it in ColdFusion and HTML. MEDVAIS© also incorporated a full catalog of all the vulnerabilities that are scanned for along with steps suggested for remediation.
